In addition to an academic, I am also a licensed therapist. While I see a wide range of clients, my work specializes in couples, sexuality and sexual issues in couples, pediatric therapy, and family therapy. In addition, I have expertise in technology in couple and family life. I have developed the first multitheoretical model for understanding how technology impacts relationships and incorporate this into my work with contemporary families. My credentials in my practice include being an EMDR-Certified Clinician, a Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Professional, a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and an AAMFT-Approved Supervisor.
